Finished a BDU mod to resemble the Drifire trousers for a customer:

Mods:
Fabricate new pockets for thighs (velcro closure)
Move Cargo Pockets back
Replace cargo pocket buttons with velcro
Add pocket on knee for foam insert
Add velcro tabs around the knee
Shorten Trousers
Add velcro tabs around ankle.

What would it cost to have you only sew on pockets for foam knee pads (but on the inside like you see on a regular pair of 5.11s)?

2x Magazine Pouches (6 mags on either side) and 3x Utility Pouches, stitched onto 8mm space foam pad.

PALS columns on side of left and right utility for knife sheath and grenade pouch.

Angled Magazine Pouch flaps to allow them to be easily tucked in for quick access to exposed magazine.

Most interesting feature: The two mag pouches on either side are stitched onto a kangaroo pocket, similar to the ones found on plate carriers. This was an idea I had to allow me to more comfortably carry the issue L9A1 (Browning HP) in a velcro insert near my waist, which is where I prefer it to be. Note the Browning HP in the photos is a WE airsoft pistol, which I use for practice.

Urgh, UCP, I know. It came with the knife but I will replace it once I have more time to make a new MTP sheath.

Clamshell utility pouch with front pouch. Internally, there're two dividers: the taller one on the back has 1" elastic internally for pens, etc.
The shorter one on the front has 2" elastic on the front.

what did you use for the sidewalls of the tacos, and where did you get them? I've been looking to make some for a while, but have never been able to figure out how to do the sidewalls.

You are aware that TACO is a registered trademark (to HSGI) and they have a patent pending on the design?

Until the patent is issued, Flimmuur can sell anything he wants. Afterwards, sales must stop, or royalties be paid, but anyone is free to make them for their own personal use as much as they want.

Hi,

Obviously I respect the whole patent thing but since HSGI don't make long ones, I thought it was ok. Essal, since you have a better knowledge on the patent system, mould you tell me if this is acceptable. If this is not ok, I'll refrain from making any more.

I don't, but for me it fits into the category of "stealing" unless you have HSGIs permission. But whatever, we don't have to take this discussion here.

Tyr has their own copies of the Tacos. I wonder what HSGI thinks of that. http://www.tyrtactical.com/products/details/magazine-pistol/tyr-tacticals-combat-adjustable-mag-pouch-pistol/
