Stumbled upon two early Crye field shirts, one is from their first run (twill fabric, wide velcro, no velcro on flap, 1000D elbow pad pocket), the second is the 2006 version (ripstop fabric, narrow velcro, velcro on flap, 500D elbow pad pocket). Snapped a quick picture of the three generations (Gen1, Gen1.5, Gen2/AC) in a row, bottom to top (the top shirt is modified with multicam loop).

Are there any other field shirt variants floating around out there? Is the Navy Custom field shirt different from the Army Custom field shirt?

I'm totaly lost with the various uniform generations Crye has been offering.
That said, to the best of my knowledge, there's at least one "popular" variation (I believe of the AC version) floating around, with the added button closure on the sleeve pockets (and probably some other small features). We were handed a bunch of them during a trip to the UK, but I understand this is not just a UK specific production, as US SOF units seem to field them as well.
