So THIS caught my eye on eBay a few days ago. The seller listed what appears to be Orc Industries PCU Level 5 jackets, size large, in Multicam. This interested me because Orc hasn't produced PCU items since they lost the contract years ago.

The seller called them 'irregular' because the tags were 'wrong,' that they were mislabeled. The tags are for an Orc Industries PCU, alright, but a regular Large size in Alpha Green under the original contract.

I e-mailed Orc Industries to ask them, and their sales rep flatly denied that Orc produced any items in Multicam from the PCU or MCU lineup, and when provided the link said that they were not from an Orc industries factory.

Now, I'm all for an Orc-style PCU in multicam, but who would go to the trouble of ripping off the design down to the small details?

Looking at the seller's other auctions, it appears that they're selling fake Crye combat shirts as well, with well-replicated tags (but still errors, like the 100% Aramid nonsense).

Has anyone seen anything like this before?

Yeah, those fake combat shirt have been stirring up some discussion for the last couple of weeks.
Definitely a scam artist.

Anyone have any further info/links to other discussions per chance? I messaged the seller and he's adamant the combat shirts are real. He also messaged me again today to apparently say his wholesaler has them in MC and MARPAT, which makes them even more iffy sounding to my mind.

There's also at least 2 other sellers with the exact same shirts on eay that me and my brother have identified.

Aside from the fact that the labels are all wrong (the shirts are NOT an Aramid/Aramid mix, at all...) and the stitching shown looks iffy, the wholesale angle (which he also hit me up about) is a huge red flag.

Regarding the Crye Combat Shirt. These are not fakes, I have confirmed that with Crye rep. They were sold as irregulars because of the mismatched tags from their contractor.

These came in today. They are marked Orc Industries! Sizing is identical to Orc's gen 1 PCU lineup. I don't know why Orc's rep denied they made these, but they must have been a special order for someone:

I got one Large and one Extra Large just in case, so I'll probably put the Large on eBay shortly. This is a pretty outstanding find, I've always preferred the Gen1 cut to the Gen2.

Don't NSNs vary by color? Cause this NSN has been established in 2004... seems early for MC.

They do, but if the item is a custom order it may not get a unique NSN. NSN's don't just happen, there's a process. I've seen custom items using another item's NSN for ordering purposes.

Given the source (Sportsman's Guide), and the fact that we've seen multiples of these, I'm inclined to believe they're legit.

Well myself and my brother each ordered AOR2 shirts each from the seller mentioned earlier, they're on the way to me now.

Seller reckons the labels say entirely 100% aramid since that's what Drifire makes them from, I'll post pictures once they make it across the pond.

Do you see the contract number? It should be W911QY-06-F-0051 instead of W911QT-06-F-0051 which is on label. I think it might be some custom run but the tag is fake.
