Hi all,

Was wondering if anyone can tell me what the patch is on the right and where I could find one? I know it is some sort of hi viz patch because of the patterns on it, but was wondering if anyone knew anything more? I tried to do a search on the web, but didn't find anything that matched or was very close.

Thanks,
C

Basic boring IR flag with a camera flash on it that gives it funny colours.

Then why does the other IR flag look normal? I have seen another pic of the same operator and he has a regular IR backwards flag patch on the other shoulder.

Thanks,
C.

Because the one on his right shoulder is facing in the opposite direction of the left one, and thus isn't reflecting light directly back into the lens of the camera.

I already thought of that. If you look at a normal IR patch the pattern (by pattern I mean the scale looking pattern) it is normally seen where the white of the U.S. flag would be. Here the pattern is where the red of the flag would be and there is green where the white is. Could this be an OD IR patch that looks weird because of the flash? It is definitely not the regular IR patch. Don't mean to step on toes or say anyone is wrong, it just looks too noticeably different if you look at it compared to a normal IR patch.

Thanks,
C.

Pretty positive it is just an OD IR patch that looks odd because off the flash. Looked back at the picture of the regular IR backwards flag patch and the black portion has the same look as the portion on this flag. Thanks for the help gents and sorry for being skeptical.

Regards,
C.
