hello everyone im looking for "my" admin pouch. i was looking at the zulu mega which i think is awsome! everyting you could need in an admin pouch but it is too big for me. i was also looking at the caos which is what im leaning towards.

what i want really is something about medium size. which can hold my equipment(multitool, flashlight, pens and markers, chemlights, and nav stuff) also looking for something with like a map insert. and possibly a retention system to keep it from flopping down. and any other cool guchi stuff.

basicly if anyone has and suggestions as to what might fit what im looking for i would be greatful.

thank you for any help

What you're describing isn't an admin pouch, that's a GP pouch.

The most I've ever had in an Admin pouch (best one I've used is the ATS Leader's pouch) was:
-Rite in the Rain Tactical Field Book
-Earpro
-Pens (1ea Black, Red, Blue, Green)
-Silva compass
-My lucky charm

If you want to toss that much stuff into a pouch, you probably want to reevaluate your setup. A multitool and a light should, in my opinion, be easily accessible. I used a Petzl headlight (red/white) for this deployment around my helmet in addition to a Surefire helmet light (red/white/ir) so that I could keep hands free (I took the Petzl off when my helmet came off), and then I put my Gerber on the front of my rig on my shooting side so it was out of the way. Chemlights you can weave through spare MOLLE (you should have a lot of it, in my opinion) loops or keep in a cargo pocket (what we did).

You don't want cool gucci stuff. You want useful, practical, slimline stuff. Lighter is better, and you don't need to fill MOLLE real-estate in a desperate bid to look cool.

Tactical Tailor Enhanced Admin Pouch will fit your requirements.

It can get a bit bulky if you put too much in it but I've found it to be quite good in carrying quite exactly what you mentioned.

I think High Ground Gear might have some cool options.
I have just ordered this one and I hope it's as cool as it looks at first glance:

I'd appreciate a review of that High Ground Gear pouch when you get the chance.

FNG observation on that Highground admin pouch: There are no supports to keep the front flap level. That might not be that big a deal since the zips on the sides would help hold it, but that particular pouch is also intended to carry two 30rd magazines, which are f'n heavy when full of ammunition. I didn't see any provision to use paracord to hold up the flap so the chart sleeve stays readable, and holding it up with your hand while you're trying to maneuver seems...exhausting.

I think a lot of what you get depends on what you really intend to use it for. Because of my particular work, I do carry a lot of tools, gadgets, cables and other paraphernalia around, so I'm investigating the T&T pouch by Condor (yeah, yeah, so sue me; I can't find the original maker and anyway Condor stuff costs me less to ship to South Asia). The T&T has lots more slots, pockets, and keepers, plus it comes with a large chart holder and it has a paracord system for keeping the pouch held level. Here's USCav's page on the T&T: http://www.uscav.com/productinfo.aspx?p ... &catid=759
