Hey guys, I recently picked up a JPC and realized that I want to run the back slick and get an assault pack to run extra items in.

Rough list of what will be in it:
-Ammo (5 extra mags)
-3 extra simulation grenades
-PCU Lvl 5 (Top)
-Source 2L Hydro
-Ghillie Greenside Tog

What would be a good assault pack for holding these items? Of course, I would like to have organizability but I can't always have it all :P

Mystery Ranch Spartan or 3DAP. Both are smaller sized and comfortable to wear high on the back, so they won't interfere if you run a 1st line aswell.

The 3DAP is way too big for that list. The Spartan could work but lacks organization, IMHO.

The Linchpin would be my best bet in that list.

I use the USMC FILBE assault pack, its 30 litres and great. The straps tuck away and you can get PC mounting straps for a tenner.

Someone also recommended the LBT 1476J, would that work? I can't find any solid reviews of that pack

Many good packs mentioned. My vote is for the Camelbak Linchpin.
Yet you did not specify what type of magazines you intend to carry, but that pack got specific pouches for AR magazines.
It lacks molle but you can easily adjust the pack with the straps. And its price is moderate compared to an LBT one, for example.

Also most likely an MK13 Grenade Launcher! With 6 rounds.

Anyone have the 1476J I mentioned?

Isn't that the normal A-III design? If so, you could go a lot smaller..

Never used one, but I had an First Spear EPC laying around at my workshop, and it's a sweet and small pack that would probably fit everything you've mentioned.

No, 1467j is copy of Camelback Motherlode. It's too big, it's bigger than it looks on pictures.

I would go for the FS ECP.
I have used it with a JPC for exactly the things you mention.

I'd give my vote to the Eagle Yote, and with a few tweaks to the Grey Ghost Gear LAP, I currently use.

The Yote will easily carry the items you mentioned and more. Up to a 12 or even 24h mission. It also has the ability to be integrated with PALS on your carrier. However if you don't need that and you're looking for a cheaper alternative the GGG LAP is excellent. The LAP does not have as much organization but that is easily solved with a few extra pouches on the outside. It cannot be integrated with PALS but with Fastex buckles, making it easy to detach. It will carry as much and maybe even more equipment than the Yote.

The LAP's slim shoulder straps work great with any rig you choose. One thing we've added to the LAP is a plastic frame inside the bladder pouch to give it more rigidity.

Here's a sweet pack. Just played with one today while at the store. I wish I had to money to pick it up. Super awesome.

Imagine a yote had a baby with a first spear ECP.

The webbing is the stitched, not printed, multicam webbing. Looks awesome.

Literally only 11 left as of today. I counted.
