Well, I just got a... nice amount from a local contest for my community involvement as a volunteer SAR, just as I also completed (as of two weeks ago) a wilderness EMT course. I was considering getting a more purpose-designed pack that would allow me to carry some medical supplies well organized, but now that I won this because of my involvement, I might as well spend it on SAR-related stuff instead of booze and boobs... Or at least, some of it.

That's not super tactical-ish but some of these packs have tactical versions, so I'm hoping someone here has tips.

What I need:
- Organized medical compartiment for a wilderness med kit (I'm not a nurse, so that's not an extensive kit... it's provided by the guys that gave us the training course, I don't have a list on the PC but it's very similar to this: http://www.adventuremedicalkits.com/pro ... product=88). So no need for dedicated oxygen bottles and whatnot, we haven't covered this in the training).
- 24h kit (change of clothes, some food, batteries, etc...)
- 3L water bladded
- Sleek (think bushwaking... woods can be very, very dense, and I had trouble on an op this fall with my MR 3DAP's PALS snagging everywhere)
- High-viz color (not mandatory, but I'd rather have as much reflective/orange/red as possible)
- All-season (I'd rather have a slightly bigger pack that I can cinch down than a pack that's too small to carry additional layers during the winter)

Although I did win cash, I'm not looking at an excuse to spend it all as I have other items I'm looking at, so I'm looking for something sub 300$.

Packs I've found that seem interesting
- Conterra Longbow

- Kigali 45

Anyone has experience with these or can recommend another?

Thanks!
Conker

*crickets*

Well, definitely leaning towards the Longbow. I'm waiting to see if they've got the extra pockets and buying it this week unless I find anything that would make me change my mind.

Ordered. The shop tells me I got it on time as the price is going up by 20$. Turns out at $245 shipped with the side pockets and organizer kit. Pretty good considering MSRP for the pack alone is USD$245.
