Hey Guys,

I'm in the market for a Plate Carrier but I can't decide which one to get. I want something simple. So I got the choices down to the two above.

Now I need some opinions on both, I think both are good so I'd like a comparison. Maybe somebody has both? Danne maybe?

Thanks in advance!

The APC is the simplest carrier of the 2, but I believe you have a lot more options regarding cummerbunds compared to what the 6094 offers. The APC is also lighter than the 6094 (500 vs 1000 denier), has an internal admin pouch, but it lacks a draghandle and cabel\hydro routing loops.

The 6094 has an admin pouch too, but it's very small. The 6094 has velcro on the front for patches, the APC doesn't. Still, that lighter weight the APC has more than makes up for the rest of the features.

The APC is obviously based on the 6094, so most attributes are going to be apples and apples. I've had both and prefer the APC. I prefer their shoulder pads, and the overall weight savings is nice. You can't really go wrong with either if that's the style of carrier you are looking for.

Owning a 6094 and having fingered an APC on a few occasions I would honestly give favor to the APC. It has a few more features than the 6094, the cummerbund sizing choice offers a more custom fit, has a better price point when buying new and lastly, the fact that it doesn't use those bullshit "swimmers" plates-making armor a little easier to find and more affordable.

Both are very comfortable and I'm sure would easy to wear for a duration of time.

The only present feature on the 6094 that I would miss on the APC is the internal radio pouches. I use them constantly, and I consider the PALS space on the front flanks of any rig extremely valuable. Being able to double up a radio with other items is an ability I find EXTREMELY useful.

IMO the APC is a better buy, but the 6094 has more "cool guy" appeal due to its use in AFSOC, NSW etc.

The internal radio pouches are an easy fix for the APC. ;)

I got an APC in SKDs SUCKIT sale but would happily pay full price for one.
Its lightweight, good design at a good price and best of all FITS me (issue stuff was always too big).

I cant comment on the 6094 as I have no experience with it.

heres what MM and ITS had to say about the APC.

Another PC to look at is SKDs PIG rig, while I havent used it I have heard alot of good things about it on the net.

I have the APC. I got it because it's based on the 6094 but has quite the better pricing and offers different sized cummerbunds. However, i do fit my radio in my cummerbund with a kangaroo pouch. I'll doubt it'll fit an MBITR but it fits my icom just perfect, so happy camper about that.

The only thing to think about if you're getting an APC with the small cummerbund is that you can't fit the 3-mag kangaroo (m4 mags), you'll have to get a 2-mag pouch (m4).

SKD is selling the Eagle APC cheaper than the LBT and it has some features the 6094 and Mayflower don't have: http://www.skdtac.com/Eagle_Assault_Plate_Carrier_p/eag.676.htm
