I recently purchased a non-releasable Paraclete vest, size Large. Can be seen here: http://www.gearsoc.se/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=7237&start=2715. I was wondering if anyone could tell me where to get the armor for it? I believe it's cut for BALCS, am I wrong? I appreciate any information.

I've only heard good things about Velocity Systems. Point-Blank can probably also help, afaik they own Paraclete at the moment..

So is my assumption correct? This is a BALCS cut armor or was this a specific Paraclete cut armor?

My guess is also BALCS. If you have the option to borrow some BALCS panels, then you could confirm it, and also get the correct size.

Is it for sure Paraclete or could it be diamondback tactical? If Paraclete, then 99.9% it's balcs. If DBT it could be balcs or it could be predator cut, which was their proprietary cut. If that's the case, I think balcs would still fit. Predator had larger sides, but can't recall the shoulder areas. Rhino armor can get you squared away though for very decent pricing either way. With them, if you are uncertain, you can get some poster board, butcher paper, etc and cut it to fit, making a template. Then roll it up and send to them and they'll cut it for you, again, very reasonable. They might also be able to confirm if it is balcs and just send you a correct cut set. If predator then they'll cut it for you anyways.

It is definitely Paraclete, the tag inside confirms that. Thanks for the information about Rhino Armor, I will look into them.

I wouldn't trust Rhino Armor - their soft armor is cheap for a reason. I've never been impressed with their products, and several authorities on ballistics (DocGKR) shun their brand.

Ok maybe I'm missing something here but I believe that most of Paraclete's prod, save for the RBAV series, had a proprietary cut (RAV/RMV cut) which is different from BALCS cut.
Now I don't know specificaly about the vest you have (could be BALCS cut) nor do I know how much difference there is between RAV and BALCS cut, but I would tread with caution here.
Your safest bet is probably asking Pointblank, but considering 99% of Paraclete's staff is now gone, they could possibly not know much more.
Do you have a ref on your tag?

ETA: closest thing I found online so far is the MVL (modular vest light). There's a couple of differences with your pics though, but that might be a build version thing. That vest takes the RAV/RMV cut panels.
