I recently purchased this holster, and I am at a loss as far as who makes it. It was listed as a Eagle holster made for 1911 handguns. It has no markings and doesn't look like anything Eagle makes.
It is very robust in construction but seems too big for a 1911. Perhaps the stitching has been modified in some way. The buckles are National molding dated 1999 and 2002.
I haven't decided to get rid of it or rework it to meet my needs, any help would be appreciated. Cheers. :D

Yeah, I've had a couple of those. They are not made by Eagle. From what I understood they were made by BDS and were a copy of the SOE version of the holster. Hope that helps :)

Saxe, how do you see this as BDS and not SOE?

I'm asking this because it's been a long time since I've had a SOE holsters, but they really looked the same (well except for the aero safety strap), especially when JW went away from his old school OD/black color combo (still prior to the M16 drama)

Just curious

Cheers

Thanks for the info. I may shop it around to collectors then. I hate to cut it up to make it work for me. I will just keep looking for the right one for me.

edit-I think it may be SOE after all. I found where the black tag had been cut off on the front. Looks to be the same location and color of tag that SOE uses.
