I just got a 6075 Lowride UBL with QLS22 for my 6354DO and since there is obviously some interest regarding this combination, here are some photos to show my current setup which, after trying multiple solutions, I find to work best for me. It gives me the option of running with or without a utility belt without the need for moving the holster around, at same time as enabling a smoother draw compared to my previous setup with the holster attached to the utility belt itself.

First, here is the holster without a utility belt. The UBL is very rigid and stays in place. If you plan on running this setup only, the 6070 midride version is also a viable option which gives you a bit higher holster placement.

Here shown with a Crye Low profile belt. I wear mine without the additional pads so as to make it more low profile and it sits very well atop the UBL. If you plan on wearing a utility belt over the UBL do not go for the 6070 midride option as the higher placed holster will likely interfere.

As you can see here, the belt will not interfere with the draw (as long as you don't use the pads for this particular belt).

All in all a solution I can definitely recommend.

Awesome, I've been drooling over this combination for a long time.
Question: how succeptible do you think the holster's cordura wrap would be to spray paint?
If I end up getting one, I will most likely go for turning it coyote.

With the holster being that low, do you notice any issues with the holster flopping around when you go to draw like in the third picture here?

I guess a lot of that would have to do with how rigid your belt is. Mind sharing what kind you are running?

Pkekyo> Spraying it should be no problem at all. But unless you need the holster specifically for slide mounted optics you could go with the 6378USN which is also available in coyote: http://www.safariland.com/DutyGear/prod ... id=6378USN

ctres> There are no such issues with the 6354 since the pistol does not get stuck in the holster the way it tends to do in a 6004 due to the interior cladding. In the 6354 the pistol is held in place only by the ALS locking mechanism and once that is released the pistol can be drawn freely without hindrance. Regarding the belt, it is a Blackhawk riggers belt.

It's not as much about the slide mounted optics (although it IS a nice feature to have, should I ever need it), but about the "new and improved" ALS mechanism.
To the best of my knowledge, the 6378USN does not feature this..?

No, true, it does not feature the same mechanism.

It should also be noted that the 6354DO accepts Surefire DG switches, not sure about the other one, but I know DG Switches are NOT compatible with standard Safariland holsters.

Exactly the reason I'm looking at it as well. Do you guys think it's worth the extra $60 or so over a similarly set up 6354? (non DO version)

as soon as I read the post about the holster flop, and before clicking the link I said to myself, I guarantee this is a belt issue, not a holster. and in my mind it was a riggers belt. sure as shit, it was. carrying safariland holsters 5-6 days a week, 52 weeks a year, for the past 10 years, I can tell you the flop in reference, is a belt problem not a holster. if you he a 2" belt loop, and you use a stiff 2" belt, you will not have a single issue! ive had hi, mid, and Lo ride and it's never been a problem cause I have it mounted to the appropriate belt.

as also, the dg switch does not fit standard ALS holster, but blow dryer can fix that.

this holster is specifically designed for a mrd. so you are paying for a specialty product. if you don't have the specialty needs, I feel it's a waste. but like all geardoism, if you got the money...

I've had success with an old 6004, extra dcu Cordura, contact cement, and a sharp razor (if the fabric cover is all your going for)

I agree with it being a belt issue, I have to twist inward with my 6004 mid ride with my h150 belt, but with my bianchi fancy stitched leather belt or a decent riggers belt its not an issue.

Still want though, very effecient looking configuration.
