Hey

I am looking for an extreme cold weather jacket and shopping online. I am considering between NFM's extreme cold weather jacket and Carinithia's ECIG. Below are specs on the ECIG but I have yet to find them on the NFM's.

- Any suggestions on one vs the other?
- ECIG has pit zips, does NFM's (I can't tell from the pictures)?

Thanks!

Well.

NFM Has subcontracted the manufacture of their Extreme Cold Weather Jackets to Carinthia themselves, so they feature the same G-loft filling - the jacket is just of a better and more thought-out design (imo).
The NFM jacket does not have pit-zips. Nor does it have a pocket on the lower left arm.
Other than that, it has the same and more features than the ECIG. It is also marginally lighter, at roughly 1200grams (if memory serves).

For me, it was an extremely easy choice to go for the NFM ECWJ.

A huge jacket, expensive and goose down... (Be careful with wet climates)...

Bask Ertzog jacket.

I love mine, have been know to wear it and down pants instead of a sleeping bag when load space is limited.

May be to much jacket for what you're after though.
