Okay, now would you guys recommend going with the Rifle/Pistol mag pouch combo, or should I stick with pistol only? I already have at least 6 mags on my PC.

Depends on how many mags you usually use

Well I am issued six. I was advised not to be caught dead without 12. I was thinking 8-10 on my PC and 2-4 on my belt. That is for rifle of course. I am not sure about pistol.

Why not just keep 6(or + maybe 1 or 2) and keep the rest in your 3rd line?

And I think you won't need any more than 2 more pistol mags in most situations

Esstac KYWI+ Single M4 SHORTY / Pistol KYWI Pouch (Stacked)
5.56 Single Magna Mag Combo Pouch

Two options... I am not sure that I like either of them though... I think I am just gonna role with the pistol mag pouches on my belt. Thanks for the help guys. Cannot wait to put it together and get pics up.

Any other recommendations? Water source pouch? Secondary IFAK? Utility pouch?

BFG's quality is second to none, so you could believe in their products too and if you want that lightness.

I just personally don't like the ten speed lineup because most of the retention is relying on elastic which could lose it's elasticity over time.

But that's just me and I've seen tons of people use it. So it's your choice

They will loose their elasticity over time, it's somewhat of a given.
And when that time comes you throw them out and buy new ones.

That's a general tradeoff with this recent trend of lightweight gear - it can't take as much abuse as stuff made with only 1000D cordura. Use, abuse, get new.

I will stick with the RollyPoly then. Can you guys assist with sizing of the belts? I measured my waist(over my uniform/just above the hip bone) to be approximately 33 inches. I am thinking I need a small SGPB and a medium Rigger's belt from 215 Gear.

http://www.optactical.com/furiprdebe.html Found this as well. Cheaper than the belt by 215 gear, but I am worried they cut corners somewhere. Opinions? Has anyone heard of this company before?

Yeah, I should really change that 'could' to a 'will'

I know how stuff aren't as durable as the 1000D made ones, but full elastic pouches are way worse than 330D, 500D, Litelok etc.

Think there is a way to mount the OKC3S sheath to the safariland holster or should I just throw it on the belt?

12 mags!? Are you expecting hordes of Russian troops in the near future?

Shoot less, aim more.

Ok dude, slow your roll. I'm getting the impression you want cool guy shit but don't really need it or don't know what you don't know (i.e. 12 mags, which is insane).

What is your job? What is your mission set?

Why do you want NBC capability with your water supply? You do realize that no one uses NBC gear right now, right? We don't have a threat environment that requires it, not even CS.

Why the hell do you want 12 mags? Who is giving you this advice, and why? Again, what is your mission set?

Why do you feel you need a complete belt kit? What is wrong with the issued gear that you feel the need to spend (a LOT) of extra money for kit that's not necessarily a solution?

What is your kit like now, and why isn't it going to work for your mission (which you need to define, see a trend here)?

Mission drives the gear, gear doesn't drive the mission.
