The Army electrolyte drinks are foul-tasting salt packets. That's it for the regular side of the house. The SOCOM side gets cool guy shit.

I recommend either Camelbak 'Elixir' tablets, which are expensive as hell, or Nuun Active Hydration tablets (http://www.optactical.com/nuachytuof12.html) which are the same thing for 1/3 the money.

The British ones vary each batch. I think aside from the core meals and snacks everything else various (sundries etc)

I've had drink mixes by Lucozade, Science in Sport, some no name ones which were plain white sachets and literally said something like "Cherry Flavoured Electrolyte Drinks Mix". Also had one from a Norwegian company iirc, think the name was Stabburet or something similar.

Good point - I'd forgotten about the crappy-tasting electrolyte and carbohydrate drink mix pouches in the MREs.

Sorry to beat a dead horse but this is absolutely my personal opinion. Two bottles will get you back from the dangerous level of dehydration. Used it when i was active and on boats when guys get overheated.
