Hi there,

Not strictly E&E kit, not reenacting nor impression, so I've started new thread.

Here is my EDC mini survival kit. Designed to be the smallest as possible.

List of contents:

-salt
-matches
-condoms
-firesteel
-half of tampon
-blade
-compass magnetic needle
-safety pins
-rubber bands

Everything is packed to 2" Ductape and if you are skilled enough, is easy to use it once again as next part of survival kit;-)

5.56 NATO as a scale.

Really digging that for the ease of just tossing it in a pocket and not looking too bulky. I will get pics of my various kits up asap.

I'm not really seeing a cohesive idea here. It is a good initiative, but a few questions come to mind:

-EDC for what? A night on the town, going to work, vacation? A day hike to the woods or mountains nearby? If it is an urban kit, I think the choices are off. If it is a rural kit, it really is too small.

-What is the intended purpose of the kit? Navigation, firemaking, food collecting, shelter etc? What do you want this to do in the imagined setting you have visualized? Why is it a better option than a more comprehensive kit?

AGR, I can certainly understand what you are saying but you have to admit, from what the size looks like, this does a pretty good job at getting something from each category, in a useable form, in the smallest package possible. I could definitely see shoving that in a pocket everyday and not thinking twice, granted I agree, no real utility in an urban environment.

May be EDC isn't the best term in case, that EDC is used for "urban environment stuff", but I try to express, that is so small, that can be carry every day, all the time.

It can be used to make fire to not freeze and do basic repairs of clothes by safety pins to not freeze, then take a rest and after that navigate to urbanized area.

May be I'll put inside some water purification tablets to suit second survival need - water.

but you have no water container in the kit, so what good is water tabs? unless you keep a water bottle with you at ALL times.

EDIT: NEVERMIND, i just re-read the post and saw that you put condoms in.
