No, I'm not sure of which ones I should get. I'll probably go with some traditional and perhaps one or two combat appliable just for the look, I was thinking about the Israeli model. Any input would be appreciated though :)

[EDIT] Since the thumbnail didnt quite work they way its supposed to be, I replaced it with a link to the image itself. Im not sure if this is a forum issue with the way we display linked images or not, but it seems its not working the way it should be. I hope we can have this fixed some way. /Simpen [/EDIT]

Those CAT-tourniquets looked great, I saw some kind of similar model without that handle, only webbing, d-rings and velcro but these definately seems smarter.

Great looking pile aswell :D

Edit: By the way, where can I get CATs? Do you buy yours in Sweden or is it your friend Odin who provides them for you?

Yeah, same destination as the one Kjellberg linked to but if you select Sweden you only find links to Promoteq and their distributors (D-Gear and so on) and I can't find the tourniqets on any of their sites. If it's possible it would be great with a Swedish source :)

I agree with the above posters about using only what you know you can handle. A small note about the quikclot tough: my guess would be that in case of injury and the subsequent arrival of an ambulance and paramedics, they would probably be somewhat bent out of shape upon finding that someone poured quikclot in the patient's wound. There is to my knowledge (at least in the Link?ping or Sundsvall areas) nothing similar in an ambulance, so chances are pretty high that they've never seen it (and hence don't like it ;) ). Should push come to shove there is also a pretty good risk that quikclot could be viewed as drugs - hence, anyone below a doctor or a registered nurse could face one hell of a sh*tstorm since you need to be on of those to dispense drugs here in Sweden...

Don't know anything about the drug thing, you can buy similar products for animals without prescription here in Sweden, of course it might not be as powerful as QuikClot but it sure works (I've used it on both a dog and on myself). You're probably right about the other stuff though, but I don't think anyone on this board would use equipment and products they didn't know anything about if someone got injured.

Just as when it comes to carrying knives or owning restricted infrared markers or body armors it's not the average guy or collector who is the problem. :D

Chisel: Nope, I totally agree with you there. The collectors usually are the easiest to deal with.
On the other hand; should I be the guy arriving in the car with blue spinning lights and finds my patient-to-be stuffed with quikclot, I probably wouldn't care. Provided that the injury is severe and plugging the bleeding proves to be a challenge, I really don't care if everything up to and including the kitchen sink is stuffed in the hole. Less bleeding means better pressure and usually higher survivability. Simple as that :)

Anyhow, this is probably common knowledge and boring as h*ll, so I'll just jump in and say 'cool stuff, mate' about your corpsman kit :)
