Dont mean to Necropost, but I my RBAV came in recently. I dont have it fully configured yet, but my initial impression was that it is a great vest. Right now there is nothing that I would change about it. What I really like about it is how on the internal cummerbund there isnt any hook velcro that goes up against your belly. On the MarCIRAS that was kinda annoying when wearing a light shirt such as a t-shirt, the stiff hook velcro would chaff your stomach.

Can't you turn around your inner cummerbund, like on the MC-CIRAS?

Tomster: No, one side of the internal cummerbund is fixed in place, still adjustable though.

I've had one for a year now, NZDF issues them. It's an OK rig, prior to this I used a MAR-CIRAS. The only problems we have had with them is the cummerbunds are a bit short when you use SAPIs and can pop out of the back, the PALS webbing tends to stretch a lot as well and you end up with some pretty big loops in it if you are mounting LSW pouches on to the vest. Also our turret monkeys were getting a lot of wear on the back of them from rubbing against the ring and had to get some abrasion protectors made for the back of the carrier.

Also there is not much give in the sizing in regards to the inserts and they can sit a bit skanked. The release mech requires less effort to pull than the CIRAS though so thats a plus. Also the cover on the pull handle stops blue falcons from being able to jettison your kit 20mins before rolling out.
