G'day all, I'm looking at a bit of a trip to the U.S. around the end of April for around 4-6 weeks and will be landing in LA then making my way to NY over the duration of my trip and was looking at picking up various gear along the way, can anyone reccomend some good places to pick up gear (I'll probably need to know the name of the place and where it's located), I know there was a few down near Virginia beach, but that's all I know, any help would be appreciated!!

ps. Retail stores and second hand stores are preferred,

Cheers.

If you swing through Fayetteville, NC (Ft. Bragg) make sure you stop by AWS, Tyr Tactical, Patriot Performance Materials (might be out of business?), XPX Armor (Former Paraclete), and then there's Ol' Sarges Surplus (thats where I picked up a lot of late 90s-early 00s Tactical Tailor and some old ALICE packs). There's a few other surplus places that regularly have older Paraclete and Eagle pouches floating around. A lot of SOF history around these parts.

If you do make it over this way, stop by the Special Operations and Airborne Museum. It's free, and it's true museum quality displays. You won't regret it.

Have fun on your trip! Don't waste all your time gear shopping.

Cheers for the advice!! I've heard awesome things about the Airborne and Special Operations museum from a few mates who've been there before so I'll definitely chuck that on the list of places to go and see!!

Also, gear shopping is a bonus of the trip, not a lot of decent gear here in Australia
