Evenin'.

I'm collecting photos of military use Toyota Hilux trucks. I'd appreciate it greatly if you gents would assist me in finding the hidden gems of the internets.
Mods feel free to move this thread to isolation if you feel it more fitting.

Out of interest, would it be possible to procure this kind of tubular frame, and fit it on a regular hilux without heavy mods ?

It looks the shit...

They did it in the movie, so its merely a question of funds and functionality.

Well even the tube modifications would require some good shop work, granted it all depends on the feature you want the frame compliment. For example the tube frame seemed to allow the operators to mount weapon systems onto a system that regularly wouldn't accept weapon placement there.

Le Chtit: yes it possible

Tomato: weapon mounts weren't originally there, they were added "on the move"

SOG also used modified 6x6 Tatra guntruck: http://forum.valka.cz/viewtopic.php/tit ... l/t/103284

I do know that this is THE necropost, but I'm looking for pictures with civilian vehicles modified for military purposes.
In other words, I'm building a BOV (bug out vehicle) with some sort of a ghillie and external steel cages for steel fuel cans no bigger than 20L (stole this idea from a scene in the movie The Rover, where such fuel cans where placed in a soldered cage on the rear side of a humvee).

Now back to the point, if anyone has anything similar in his/hers computer, I would very much appreciate it if you'd share it.

Thanks

p.s. not interested in polaris military buggy or SEAL sand buggy used in UAE and Iraq in the early 2000.
