It is possible that you saw one, 7" Omegas are used, but not common. Most common is the standard 7" KAC RAS.

Not trying to start anything but how is a Canadian the expert on all things pj and why are you getting info from a SERE guy? You realize they aren't that closely related right?

Because I've been doing a lot of research on PJs since I am building an airsoft impression of them. And my SERE contact works with PJs a lot and has some buddies who are PJs as well.

Quote:
Yes I have worked with Many PJ's. Im in the Triad of Guardian Angel Weapon System. It is made up of a CRO- Combat Rescue Officer. Their the head "Go" or "No Go" of the Triad. The SERE Specialist, Survival Evasion Resistance and Escape Specialist. Our Job is to plan PR (Personnel Recovery) Missions for the PJ's to go complete which brings us to the third component. The PJ, Pararescuemen. Depending on your questions I can answer them to help you get the most up to date impression. There is new gear in some PJ kits (PJ's in the STS, or Special Tactics Squadrons) that their new kits are "Classified" to protect our Mission. But for the most part we can discuss quite a bit.

How he introduced himself.

Interesting Southpaw, do PJ's still use the 416's or MICH's we all saw a couple years back?

Well I don't know everything about PJs... I get most of my info from pictures and Inside Combat Rescue, and some more specific stuff from my AF contact.

Never seen a PJ with a 416. It could be possible that it is in use or T&E with the STS, but I honestly have no idea.

Go to helmet now seems to be the Ops-Core FAST Ballistic cut.

AFSOC is known for allowing personal uppers and multitude of leeway on non-issue equipment, best part they'll even buy it for you. 8)

There's one pic of a PJ with a 416 (at least a 416 upper). It seems like a promo shoot or training situation though. I think Crye Precision used the pic as a promo some time in the past.

I could, of course, be wrong.

(Sorry for the size).

The first high res pic definitely looks like a 416 upper on a regular AR lower.

What's funny about a PJ disconnecting his intercom-downlead when leaving the helicopter?
