Is it Blackops Kandahar Plate Carrier? Looks like the Iraqi get more sophisticated gears than ANA like black RAV or some copy of MARCIRAS.

Almost all the gear you see on ANA guys in the field is a mix of the old Russian COMBLOC stuff and locally made copies of plate carriers and vests with a few US style rucks. Pretty much all of the locally made stuff I've seen is cheap airsoft quality that doesn't last too long.

yeah but OLD gear doesn't mean BAD gear and just like some like WWII gear some like to follow the progress of what some people call the worst place on earth - it's not easy being gucci down there. Btw, not that all of them wear ADS Ghostex uniforms but wouldn't call that crappy airsoft shit :)

No need to quote the post directly above yours.

None of my ANA guys had anything that could be considered Gucci. Woodland BDUS, Russian AK mag bras and a hodge podge of gear. The most durable stuff they have is the old Russian gear. That video you posted is the exception not the norm. 99.5% of the ANA guys look like the guy in the first picture of this thread.

Well, it's the same divide in kit between Special Forces and regulars as in any military around the world, the contrast is just a bit more obvious in this case.

18 Zulu Whiskey 8: Kinda why I wrote this above the link to the video:
Mysuperior wrote:

but that isn't the point, the media section on this board is about every aspect of the units
we post in the different threads, so we can see their regular days and not so regular days.

Not everyone sports Multicam and is issued Anvis but it doesn't make it less interessting
- well maybe it does.. but thats why the thread have a title so you can skip it if you dont like it.
I'm not trying to be rude but there are people here that might be interessted and this board
wasn't solely created just to please you, so if your here to shit in the thread you should know
that your not obliged to read it. However if you do have other intentions - share it!

In reply to mysuperior

Easy there killer, I don't know who pissed in your wheaties and why your panties are all in a wad over what I posted. All I've said is what happens to be ground truth/fact of how they are kitted up based on my REAL WORLD experience with the ANA.....and I was sharing it but apparently that rubs you the wrong way.

I'm not stepping in here to protect the honor of 18ZW8(he obviously does not need that) but you need to take a chill pill and make sure your next reply is in a slightly more civilised manner. We dont need a flame war and 18ZW8 is simply sharing his experience with you, nothing he said warrants such a snyde and arrogant reply from your end.

Simpen: sorry, it wasn't my intentions to make this a flame war, I just didn't agree with him so I wanted to explain that the thread wasn't about
only afghan standard grunt fashion but I respect with what your saying.

Mysuperior: I dont have any problem with people not agreeing with each other or having an argument or explaining something, but your post came off more as a snyde lecture than anything else and that is what I reacted to. I may have interpreted a little to much in to it or you may have been clumsy expressing yourself, but lets just move on and get back on track its christmas after all. :)
