For me, there are so many DELTAis gear in this pic. Especially the rifles.HK416s with the Giessele rails, EXPS 3 holo sights, highly modified glock with safariland 6354DO MultiCam (Still extra Gucci for me) and ops-core of the front guy has Air Frame cover. I don't even say anything about the JPC 2.0 carriers et all...

Im not %100 sure but they are D-boyz for me...

Officially there are ~75 US MIL in country, 60 of them are advisers to the French MIL (probably Africom). I would expect advisers to have a more uniform look.

The other 15 are connected to the embassy. In Benghazi there were at least a couple of Delta dudes that worked in the GRS, and I wouldn't be surprised if these dudes have a similar type of job considering the variation of gear they have, which could point to different service origins.

The gentlemen who stood up the AFRICOM CIF were from an Army SMU, so it's not much of a stretch to see CIF guys with similar equipment in their procurement that and SMU equipment isn't all that unique in the tactical nylon capacity, especially when guys are rotating back to their home-units.

So it's more likely than not CIF guys advising host nation along with French SOF that reacted to the incident. In addition this depends what the divided areas of responsibilities are for Army/Navy SMUs working Africa.
