Theres really nothing special about my dog or I (just attached to people that wear different patches with a different mission set) Plus, I dont post many pictures of my pup. We had a briefing not too long ago about the bad guys specifically targeting handlers downrange based purely on the patches they were wearing. The less I can keep my pup out of pictures the better, although I was on our Battalions facebook page with my dog, but thats because I didnt notice the guy with the camera. You can clearly read my dogs name and rank and our patch, so it wouldnt be hard to ID me to anyone who was motivated to do so.

Chill man, you and your pup are in the row behind machinegunners, SF boys with diamonds on helmet, journalists, pretty guys etc...

Brother, its not about "chilling". Its about wanting to have just a bit of anonymity when it comes down to work. There are less than 3000 active dog handlers in the military, to include full blown Spec Ops guys. This thread was case in point prior to the dogs name being edited out. Just by a dogs name you can figure out the unit, the handler, etc. Its not about paranoia or anything else. I have plenty of pictures of ball cap, AOR wearing dudes posing with me and my dog, doesnt mean I'm going to blast them all over the net. Some guys are good with it, some guys arent. I fall into the second category.

I'm pretty sure he's already stated how he feels about posting images. don't pressure him, if he wants to post images, he'll do it all on his own.

I'm not saying I'm SF by any means at all, but I get to wear the patch.

For any type of ballistic K9 goggles/glasses your best bet is to look up Doggles. Its what we get issued for all our dogs

I'm pretty sure these are the ones I have:
