Do they serve any purpose other than being "attack" dogs? In the video you will notice how the decoy is still standing upright and moving around fairly well, that is very atypical of an American dog hit.

I don't really get what kind of meaning you put in the word "impressive"

Check again yours video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r76nFVNgTJg

First attack of that creature (at 1:00) is slow by every standart. After capture it shows poor willing to fight/dominate decoy.

I am not impressed because I dont give a fuck about the look, yes its looks scary, but thats means nothing - there are alot of dog breeds which looks scary, but its only occupation is dog show...

This is what impressive for me -

Now I got you clearly. There's a lack of comprehension, I mean the natural fear the other dogs show of the volkosobs (yelping and staying alert while they were around) making them deliberately recognize them as wolves, not dogs. I ain't no saying they're worse/better than any other bread of dogs or got that scary look to impress the people, that's it.

The battalion these dogs are attached to is mostly serve to to conduct safety at chemically hazardous production facilities in the Volga Federal District, anti-riot activities, and supplying reinforcement to local and federal law agencies. Unfortunately, I'm not pretty witty to comment om their activity (I only got a Caucasian shepherd dog to protect my house). Yet, the handlers say these animal are really something and they're happy to work with them, I don't think they are going to tell the untruth.
