Never seen an M9 carried hammer back. I have no problem with it, but do find it interesting.

He might have been shooting with the M9 and transitioned. Hammer back is new to me too, I carried hammer down safety off, and I was in the majority (at least for people who knew how to use an M9).

PKM, I assume you mean hammer down, safety off? That is the only way to carry it according to the Air Force.

Whoops. I was thinking something else. Yes, hammer down safety off. The Army doesn't believe in that approach, I've seen all sorts of stupid propagated by Os and NCOs alike.

Hammer back could simply be due to transition as has already been suggested, but the guy in the PCU Lv2 on the previous page is also carrying his M9 with hammer back (amazing how you can look at two pics with the same 'issue' and only spot it in one!).

Thank you! I've been trying to explain my whole career that it's more of a decocking lever than a safety. The bitch has like 12 pound trigger for god's sake!

Yeah, it's a terrible decocking lever that the Army insists is also a safety... And it is, but it's the worst safety ever. A safety, IMO, should prevent pulling the trigger so that you don't draw and go "Whoops!" when you try to get a round off. Anyways, we're veering off subject here, and for that I apologize.

Btw., what's with that PEQ-16 on the very left guy's rifle? (Jinky's post)
Are they in use with 75th?

I hope it isn't to late to bring this up. The individual with the painted ACH was with the 55th.

The individual that took this picture painted his ACH the same way and was using ANVIS 9's. I asked him if it was him, and he said it was an individual attached.

He is COMCAM, and I'm sure some or many of you know who I'm talking about. I'm pretty sure the PERSEC is necessary here.

Do you ever see JPC's being issued? APC's? 6094's?
