Looks like our British issue groin protector.

It sure is the British groin armor, their ballistic diaper. I think that I've seen pictures of them in MARPAT but most are still MTP it seems.

It looks like a lot of the Marines in that series are not wearing them correctly though, they don't secure the "diaper" underneath the crotch, only let it hang over the front of the groin and the buttocks. Everyone says that they're uncomfortable but they prefer keeping their manlyhood in good condition.

I do not know whether Marines wear them without completely securing it underneath the groin, perhaps due to the uncomfortable design, therefore only securing it when they feel the need, or because the Velcro wears out quickly.

All the British troops I have seen with this diaper wear them correctly, though. Either way, it's a good piece of kit for all of them to have even if it may be uncomfortable.

Is it just because of the stupid overdone HDR or does this look shopped?
Either way cool kit (notice the new .45) but the editing kills me.

(edit: I'm aware HDR is a photomanipulation in itself, by shopped I was mostly thinking of replacing the background and shit like this )

Pretty sure the photographer messed up the photos and they turned out to be way over/underexposed and were corrected after - which often produces this look.
Oooorr he tried to be an artsy fartsy photo-artist and...still messed up

Still I'm almost certain the backgrounds are real.

Some people think that effect looks cool, others don't. Some photographers want to create a memorable look to stick their name to. Either way, it seems that we don't really like the look of it on this forum. Cool pictures nonetheless...

Anyone got a source to these?
