It a Hight Ground Gear drop down 152 pouch. I have one as well. See the rig a few posts up. To my knowledge the zips allow you to drop the radio out quickly and allows for ease of battery change. Ive been running this a while. PKM might have some more insight on this as he runs the HGG in the real world.

Yep, that's to change the battery. Best 152 pouch there is, IMHO.

Agree on all - it's hands down the best design, no one else comes close. The pouch was designed by JTACs for JTACs. The radio doesn't drop out (though it *can*), the intent instead is to simply twist off the battery.

The High Ground Gear PRC-152 pouch is the best radio pouch I've encountered to date - and I've had quite a few.
I originally obtained one back in the day because most regular drop-down MBITR pouches didn't fit our issued radio properly, and at this point I own three of these things.
High Ground Gear's quality is great, and they have the most innovative pouch designs I've seen for quite some time, and they keep coming up with very good new ones. I can't recommend them enough.

Don't think I ever posted this. Took this for my sale ad but might as well share them here too

BAE RBAV-SF. To me it's pretty much a fixed CIRAS. Very close to it but with a few improvements.

Setup for CQB, carries 5+1 mags and 2/4 additional ones in the wings if necessary (but I rarely do that).

Right side is kept clean for draw since I wear my holster on the upper thigh (belt drop with strap for stability). I'm not a big dude and anything there would interfere.

Well I'm not impressed by someone ripping off another company, it should IMO be in the replica section of the forum.

If you know how to sew stuff, why aren't you trying to be creative at all?
