Shook this out at a range/training event this past week. Some things I still want to do but setup overall is pretty much where I want it for now.

Image

Eagle Aero w/ JTAC cummerbund
-Velcro One-wrap loops added to shoulder pads like Crye's carriers for hydration tube routing
-Heatshrink added to cummerbund handles to help strap up
-Added enhanced drag strap (connects to belt but weaves through vest)
-Velocity Systems MBAV front/back and Crye 11.5x6" side panels
-Issued SAPIs
-MSAP 6x6" side plates

Pouches (R->L as worn)
FirstSpear double mag pouch
Homemade triple mag insert, bungees on vest have S&S pull tabs
Homemade TQ keeper (3" of tubular webbing with bungee cord sewn in both ends)
Homemade IFAK pouch (copy of the Eagle GP pouch) w/ issued IFAK insert and IR cross
Crye 6x6 w/ homemade padding (1/4" closed cell foam cut to fit w/ velcro sewn on)
TCI MAST kit w/ Thales antenna
LBT hydration

The only thing that bothers me is the TQ bungee solution. I'm a fan of protecting my TQs from the elements because I've seen a CAT that was covered in moon dust not secure properly, but I don't have a TQ pouch that I like. I've got a custom horizontal pouch that I don't like the integration of and the issued vertical TQ pouch that's kind of clumsy (but miles better than the nothing that was issued before), so this is the interim solution until I can come up with a pouch design I like.

(Un?)Fortunately my current gig is boring as shit so I don't need lots of stuff. This replaced my older UCP-pattern Eagle plate carrier which I had been wearing until recently because of garrison pattern Nazis.

I'm using two OC Tactical CAT traps. They give you a little bit of anterior coverage of the tourniquet while allowing rapid extraction when needed. They also take up very little space.

I find the MET3 s&s pouch pretty well designed.
Accessible opening handle, can be mounted in a vertical or horizontal way, and features a red marking stick.

I've used all of those. So far I've tried:

Rigger-made (what I've got mounted now)
CatTrap (same issue, exposed TQ)
FirstSpear (older model, to be fair, and not the newer one, good but too small all around for anything but a CAT)
TQS Pouch (vertical, not horizontal)
Issued w/ IFAK (good, but bulky)
Custom run from Lightfighter (can't find a good place to mount it)
BFG TQ Now strap (again, exposed TQ)

I haven't tried the Eleven10 hardcase, but I'd prefer not to buy a model-specific pouch.

The design I'm working on is similar to the TQS pouch but vertical and stretchier.

Some guys just stick the CAT in a BFG tenspeed pouch. I never tried it but looks fine.

I like how it looks slick, simple yet effective, plus the kit looks pretty cool, not an easy job to find the good com setup with dual coms.

Just not a big fan of the bayonnet but that's personnal preferences.

What radio pouch do you have on the front? What is the point of the zip on it?
