This is a thread for showing off your 1195x, ALICE, LBV-88s, Patrol vests and any other type of lby that does not fall into the category of "chestrig" or "Body Armor".

I will start with my 1195a that I just finished up.

Nice. Not diggin' the ALICE components, but I guess you might be going for some kind of special look.

I used to own BHIs ISSAK Rifleman, which could be said to be their version/copy of the LBT 1195, still regret that I got rid of it. It was a great system for it's intended purpose.

BHI ISAAK (Old Gen)

Quite proud of this score. It was allegedly SF used in the 'ghan, the taped up pouches and sand in every orifice of this rig definitely seems to jive with that line.

I need to replace the MOLLE II pouches with MOLLE versions

Isn't that the original MOLLE hip pad from the rucksack? IIRC they had a plastic bracket that snapped into the base of the frame and were shitcanned for the MOLLE II version due to 'durability issues'.

Yeah, it was a pretty good idea that didn't turn out so well. I never used one in field conditions but my buddy who did (75th) said that everyone hated it. Part of it was the socket but there was also the not so strong frame and just the fact that everyone was used to the ALICE packs.

How's it working out as an LBV belt?

It's actually pretty comfortable. I've never went on a ruck march with it but I have tried it out and it feels just like wearing a MOLLE II ruck. The vest however blows and I much prefer the MOLLE II Zippered FLC. I think if the waist belt was used seperate from the vest below a chest rig or armor and the design was refined it would be a pretty good system.

My issued vest, only holds four mags :p but our OP's have been issued TT 2-piece MAV's now, so its only a matter of time before the rest of us get them :)

So the new issued stuff will be TT? Or is it only unit procurement?
