The Marpat and Multicam had nothing to do with it.

I can't answer for horsefighting, but I will say that dump pouch use is not univeral by any means. I am not really a believer for reloading purposes. If I do a lock back reload, I give a damn where the empty mag ends up. I'll pick it up later after I win the fight if I don't have other priorities. If I do a tactical reload the nearly empty mag goes into the pouch the full mag came from, preferably not the mag pouch I reach for in the event of a lock back reload. Not trying to sharpshoot you Jarhead, just sharing some of the background on dump pouches and my perspective. That's not to say that I never wear a dump pouch, but never anything more substantial than a RecceGear fold up pouch.

I was merely pointing out that he didn't put the CSM pouch in his kitlist, but thanks anyway for your input; it shed some light on why I frequently see pics of US Soldiers without that piece of gear.

The dumper is pretty useful. Since I brought my own Pmags, I don't really want to lose them on the battlefield. It also holds a gatorade or TSE items when the occasion arrises.

I agree with re-inserting mags into their pouches . In my experience the first 2 mags can go pretty quick. I keep that fast mag up there because its so easy to re-index in the event I don't empty my first mag.

To be honest, I got the dumper @ the "neighborhood discount" price. I didn't know that it was so massive. If I had to buy another I'd make sure it's a lot smaller...maybe only 4 mags worth of space or so. Last time I ran a 5.11 dumper but never used it and ditched it 1 month in country.
