How does your throat mic work for you? I've heard they aren't good for anything over a whisper, but I generally prefer things that are off my ears. I get irritation with all my head gear on, so a throat mic would be ideal.

I think the key to the QuietPro is the size of the ear plugs.

Nacre only makes three sizes now, they used to make five, but now only Small, Medium, and Large. I wear the small (red) and am comfortable with them for about 5 hours. After that my ears need a break, otherwise it works greats.

One negitive is the amount of wiring now in my vest. I wish vests would have some kind of wiring management system. Like sewn in velcro to hold the wiring in place.

Balnk: What kind of antenna are you using on the PRC-343?

Yes, most of the Nacre QuietPros you see on eBay have three lugs on the back to mount to RTI Wheels.

Never figured out who thought that was a good idea.

The Selex is using the "high gain antenna" that is for the EZPRR, see link, and it also has a 5 inch 'bendable' goose neck extension.

Yes, I am using the Eagle molle RTI attachment. I totally agree with Danneskjold, it is not a very good mounting option. It's real weak point is the metal 3 prong plate that attaches directly to the QuietPro is only super glued on. So when the QuietPro is mounted in the RTI mount and in your molle, it becomes sort of a 'break away' point. I have had to re-glue it twice now.
