How have those TT shoulder straps and waist belt been working for you so far? I'm on the fence whether to get TT or CSM upgrade parts for my crappy issued ruck

They're excellent. I had the HSGI ALIPAD before this and the TT upgrades are tits. That being said, they first few times you use them they're a little stiff and they could use a solid breaking in. One of my colleagues soaked his pair in warm water and then bent them nine or ten different insane ways, which helped, but I've broken mine in through lots of use. The shoulder pads aren't a huge improvement over the standard ALICE straps for me until you hit mile 8 or so and then they definitely feel better. The kidney pad, however, is an immediate improvement. I had the Eagle Industries improved kidney pad but this is miles better.

What do those offer over the Eagle Yote or Beavertail?

Apparently they were left overs from a run for CAG. Other than the cool factor they look about the same.

They were available to order without eBay problems for one.
- Compared to the Yote, there is molle on the sides instead of those shitty GP pouches.
- The whole back piece that is holding the helmet can be removed with the buckles and a zipper.
- The zippers are 4 way pulls.
- It uses murdock webbing.
- MOLLE webbing on the pack exposed once the mesh is removed.

I believe that some Beavertail assault packs that are issued to some units have some of these options. However, the Yote doesn't. It's not some crazy pack, but it has some options that I found my Yote lacked and didn't want to fork over the cash for the Beavertails listed on eBay.

Huh, interesting. I've got an Eagle Yote that I've tweaked up, I wasn't sure what AWS had changed. Thanks for the breakdown.

Now I'm wondering - how do the Yote-style packs stack up against the First Spear ECP?

I would have to pull out every strap to refresh my mind. But they allow you to hook the bag into a chest rig depending on what system and buckle you have.
