Not so much a suggestion as a question, GEARSOC, as in Gear Special Operations Command?

I also want to commend you guys on trying to keep this site free from airsoft-specific information, but as it stands there appears to be many airsofters on here, and it gets confusing sometimes trying to understand a users frame of reference when he/she comments on gear.

I saw some thread about some setup where the user said that the pictured gear was for his Direct Action rig, complete with a picture of his 1911. I somehow doubt that he is part of some secret Swedish outfit which conducts DA missions and issues it's soldiers 1911s.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, perhaps some sort of guideline should be instated where the poster should try to mention in his post that this setup and that weapon is for pretend war. Or maybe I just have some sand in my vagina.. :P

Third, the introdutions-thread. As I said earlier, I reckon that the majority of the patrons here are airsofters. Nothing wrong with that, and nothing wrong with trying to keep airsoft out of the discussion here, but if people play airsoft and thats what they use the gear for, why are they not allowed to say that they play airsoft? This goes hand in hand with my second point, if people introduce themselves as airsofters and write in their profile that they like to play, it helps us all in seeing other posters frame of reference when it comes to subject matters.

Just my .50 SEK :)

Ps, Liking the site so far. Thanks.

Maybe youre just a collector, or dont want to mention or bring up what you do/work with if that is the reason?

We wont give any official answers to anything written in this thread yet, but we will take note of everything and adress the topics once we meet up and have a chance to talk things through over a piece of meat and a beer and then we will summarize it and get back to you guys.

You do raise a few important topics though, keep it coming. :)

I take it that it is my post in the 1st line section you're aiming at. If you take time to go back and re-read the thing you will see 5 magic letters after the word MEU(SOC), saying "repro". On boards such as this that is a widely used way of telling what's "hot" and what's not. That is my way of saying: "hey, in real life I am NOT a US secret squirrel, fighting out of Norrköping, Sweden. And if I was, would I post my loadout on an open forum such as this?".

Do yo get my point? There's a social language within the given context at work here!

Sorry mods for OT...
/M

This is truly a dilemma for us. We're not in any way banning Airsoft players from the forum. we're just making a statement that this is not about airsoft but about the gear both used by airsoft players and real deal operators. There are different forums where the mix has been a problem and we do not like to see that in here.

We've been looking at different forum rules to overcome the issue but as Simpen said nothing has been decided yet.

Hi, I have a request/suggestion: Can you please make 1 thread in "The Killing Grounds" for SF/CAG/Delta/1st SFOD? Right now I see 10 separate member posts for this loadout. I would like to request the same for US Navy SEAL loadouts-I currently see 9 posts in that section. Can you please make 1 thread for US SF/CAG, 1 for US Navy SEAL's, etc. (75th Rangers, MARSOC/MSOB?) It's really helpful for me and other members if we can search 1 thread in Multimedia/Killing Grounds for each set-up were interested in, instead of searching through the whole section for each individual loadout. Thanks!

Respectfully,
-HS1

Highspeed has a good point actally.. seems logical to try to merge every genre in one thread each. Thus making it easier to find and watch your specific gear (ranger/SEAL/PJ etc.)

And to asking a question myself.. Didn't you work something up with pictures that would work as a type of review/info thing for this site, Simpen?
Or do I talk in my nightcap here? :P

cheers

Hispeed1: we will take it into consideration, but odds are the impression-part of the forum will be removed permanently. We need to realign this forum with our ambitions and unfuck a whole bunch of issues. Changes will come.

Mac: its in the works but going slow. Real life is busy for all of us right now.

I would suggest different threads for US Army SF and CAG in that case,
since CAG is not a part of SF.

How about merging the Feedback section directly into the member's profile?

I am having problems with Firefox. I cannot stay logged in on firefox, but can on IE. Is this me or something to do with the site/firefox?

I use Firefox at home. I haven't been on the website at home yet today, but all through yesterday had no problems.
