I wonder how much traction this will get.

H.R.378 - To prohibit the purchase, ownership, or possession of enhanced body armor by civilians, with exceptions.

What ever the politician(s) decide it is. It was the same with what is considered an "assault rifle". I'm guessing it will be Level IIIA or better armor, maybe even level II.

Politicians deciding what's best for the people they're supposed to represent... Just out of curiosity, what will happen with all the armor that's already been bought before, in case this bill gets through?

Over here they're currently trying to ban high pressured air rifles (since all other weapons are strictly regulated already). Reason? Politicians claim those rifles are linked to the higher threat level we're experiencing since the Paris and Verviers tragedies this month.

This won't gain traction. Just because a bill is introduced doesn't mean anything.

I'm curious Danny, what kind of freedoms do you all enjoy there that we Americans no longer have?

My fear on this body armor thing is that already you pretty much need to be military or LE to purchase it. The Bill seems like it would add to that. And body armor is not Constitutionally protected.
