I have a real steal MSA Sordin headset. It is to my understanding that I need to make my ptt cables amplified. I heard it was done with a capacitor and a resistor. Does anyone have any insight in doing this?

I have some photos of this ptt, but unfortunately I didn't sign value of capacitor and resistor (this you can find with color stripes on body). Maybe photos will help you.

It depends on the radio you will use with this headset.
Some need it, others do not.

Yeah, that´s true. You will need this when you use original microphone, not china copy. I repaired broken cables in u94 for friend which is using this ptt with tri prc148 and peltor with oric mic.
