So i have now two radios with Double PTT unit but end of the cord is small, i think 6 pin lemo connector. Those connectors are made for some type of vehicle systems, not for handheld combat radios. Have anyone done some mod to change it to "normal" 6 pin connector (U-229). I just wonder if it could be possible to use some kind of adapter to change the type of connector. I have hear that vehicle connector could be maybe for powersupply but why there would be then two PTT buttons?

All kind of help is welcome, as always : )

Maybe it is a H4855 to H4855 connection for using 2 channels? I can't remember what the headset connection looks like.

No, they are entirely different connectors.
Also, quite an asinine idea in and of itself.

How is it an asinine idea? There are PTTs that connect to full size combat radios so you can operate on 2 nets. Why not PTTs from one H4855 to another?
And It was only a suggestion.

I as well am wondering where one can acquire an bowman PRR PTT, as I have a clansmen connector. Or a connector which can bridge the gap from a clansmen system to a bowmen system.

It just looks like your cable ends in a pigtail adapter, are you sure it is a LEMO vehicle adapter? I have some PTTs made by TEA with the same type of adapter so that I can use the PTT with both Motorola and the Chinese Kenwood style radios.

Well im not sure is it vehicle or not. I just saw similar pic on internet and there someone said its for vehicle loud speakers or something like that. But anyways there is a video below so that everyone will get a good picture of my double ppt connector. And those adapters u have there look exactly like what I need.

Did this get figured out?

It looks to me like a Selex Bowman headset adaptor. Not for the Selex H4855 at all. You could use the headset microphone and speaker with a Kenwood or Wouxan radio.
