dub4lyfe, yes the MSA 2001 is jumpable and are approved for airborne operations. Best option for paper work as well as NSN number is a visit to the supply guy. Note however that your chain of command might not want you to use the helmet. Would wish I could have helped you more, but got out last Dec.
PS. Although the Crye Airframe can be used for airborne ops, I however think that it is a pain in the 4th point of contact to jump with. The Airframe is only useful for breaching, if you ask me. But that is just a personal opinion.
Not really tuned in to anything related to jumping, but curious as to what the problems you see with jumping the airframe is.
